What Is "The Champion Trifecta"? (And How To Achieve It)

Without these 3 traits you’ll never become a champion.
Vision, Discipline, and Energy.
They’re the 3 traits every successful millionaire and business owner has, and what every broke, weak minded beta male DOESN’T have.
But it’s not enough just to realize how important these traits are…you also need to know how to develop them properly.
Luckily, you have me to tell you how.
And after building multiple $1,000,000 businesses, becoming a best selling author, and amassing millions of social media followers, I know exactly how to develop the Champion’s Trifecta.
1. Vision: See It Before You Achieve It
You MUST have a vision that's so clear, so specific, that it's like you're already living it.
It's not enough to say, "I want to be successful" or "I want to get fit." No, you need to be precise. Like, "I want to increase my business revenue by 25% in six months," or "I'm going to drop 10 pounds of fat in 90 days."
Specific goals are your roadmap, they're what keep you on the straight path when things get tough. And this is also a huge reason why over 90% of people fail their New Years resolutions.
Research backs this up too. There’s something called the Locke-Latham principle which outlines 2 parts of specifying your goals:
1.) Make your goals specific
2.) Make them difficult to achieve
The studies have shown that by setting difficult goals, you’re actually more likely to achieve them. There was even a test with a group of loggers where they got more work done using harder but more specific goals.
Another good example of visualization is Jim Carrey. This guy wrote himself a check for $10 million for "acting services rendered" and dated it for the future. He carried that check around in his wallet. And guess what? He made it happen. That's the power of having a clear vision.
There was even a study at the University of Chicago where basketball players who visualized free throws improved their shots 23% more than those who physically practiced them. That's how strong your mind is.
2. Discipline: The Non-Negotiable Key to Success
Discipline means making sacrifices and staying laser-focused on your goals.
It's about consistency, not intensity.
You don't hit the gym just when you're feeling good; you hit it even when you're not up for it. That's how champions are made.
The Science Behind Discipline
Research shows that self-discipline is a better predictor of success even more than than IQ.
There’s even a scientific study-based measurement called the “Grit Scale", which is a quantified ranking of grit using a combination of different attributes.
At West Point Military Academy, they found that the concept of 'grit' was a more accurate predictor of success in the academy than traditional indicators like IQ or physical fitness.
Remarkably, cadets who scored higher on the Grit Scale had a 60% higher probability of succeeding in the rigorous training program compared to their counterparts with lower grit scores.
Just take a look at athletes like Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan. These guys were known for their insane work ethic. Kobe's 4 AM workouts are legendary. It wasn't just talent; it was his discipline that set him apart.
In my own life, discipline has been the cornerstone of my transformation. From getting out of a rough past to building a fitness empire, it was discipline that kept me on track. There were no shortcuts, just consistent, hard work every single day.
Here are a few discipline hacks I like to use:
The Two-Day Rule: This practical rule is all about maintaining your momentum and discipline. Simply put, never miss the task you've committed to for more than one day. If circumstances cause you to skip a day, that's understandable. The key is not to let that lapse extend to two days.
Time Blocking: I use this method every day of my life. Time Blocking is a method where you dedicate specific blocks of time for certain tasks or activities throughout your day. It's like creating appointments with yourself to do certain things. For example, you might block off 9 AM to 11 AM for deep work tasks, 1 PM to 2 PM for exercise, and so on.
Habit Stacking: Developed by James Clear, this technique involves adding a new habit onto an existing one. The formula is: After/Before [CURRENT HABIT], I will [NEW HABIT]. This method cleverly ties a new behavior to an established routine, ensuring more consistent adherence. For instance, if you already have a habit of having a morning coffee, you could stack a new habit like "After I finish my morning coffee, I will meditate for 10 minutes."

3. Energy: Fuel Your Ambitions
The third piece of the Champion’s Trifecta is energy.
It’s the fuel that keeps the entire operation in motion.
And I'm not just referring to physical vitality, although that's a big part. It's also about keeping your mental and emotional game strong.
Because what the mind does, the body follows.
That being said, I approach energy holistically, developing my mind AND body for maximum energy output.
Mental Health: Stress, anxiety, and poor mental health can deplete your energy, making it hard to focus on your goals. When under stress or dealing with anxiety, the body's resources are often diverted to manage these conditions, leaving less energy for other tasks.
Physical Health: Lean muscle mass is metabolically active, meaning it burns more calories at rest compared to fat tissue. This higher metabolic rate in individuals with more muscle mass can translate into increased energy levels. Moreover, muscle tissue's efficiency in utilizing oxygen during physical activities also contributes to better stamina and endurance.
The BMM Takeaway
When you combine Vision, Discipline, and Energy, you got the Champion Trifecta.
It's like a magic formula.
You might have a vision and discipline, but without energy, you won't be able to execute. Or you might have discipline and energy but are running around aimlessly without a clear vision.
And the only way to know for sure if you have all 3 working properly?
Well, just look yourself in the mirror and you’ll know pretty much instantly.
Because if you have all 3 and are a true champion, you should be wealthy, strong, and mentally fierce.
If not, you’re out of balance.
My advice would be to start with your weakest trait out of the 3 and build up from there.
Because 1 trait will help build the other 2.
I suggest starting with a clear vision, then building discipline and energy.
And if you’re having trouble with those, I have several amazing free resources like my Baller Mindset program that can help you build discipline and energy faster and easier.
TLDR (Too Long Didn’t Read)
Vision: Define precise and ambitious objectives, like increasing business revenue by 25% in six months, following the Locke-Latham principle of goal specificity and difficulty.
Discipline: Emphasize unwavering commitment, as demonstrated by Kobe Bryant's rigorous 4 AM workouts, highlighting that persistence often trumps innate talent.
Energy: Foster a comprehensive approach to well-being, including physical fitness, mental clarity, and emotional resilience, crucial for sustained effort and focus.
Research Evidence: Reference studies showing that challenging goals enhance achievement likelihood, and the "Grit Scale" correlates with success more strongly than IQ.
Practical Techniques: Implement strategies such as the Two-Day Rule to avoid losing momentum and Habit Stacking to seamlessly integrate new habits into daily routines.
